70 m superyacht Joy by Feadship has started sea trials off the port of Rotterdam. Hull 812 by Dutch builder Feadship has come to life under the name Joy.

It was launched at Kaag yard in the presence of the new owner. It is a special ship for the owner, being the first time he owns a yacht. He brought a fresh perspective and set a difficult standard for the builder by wanting something totally different of other yachts. To achieve this request, Feadship joined forces with design collaborators Bannenberg & Rowell for their first exterior design since 2002.

One of the most impressive features is the beach club which offers ample space and a spacious swim platform. Interiors are the work of Studio Indigo and the aim was to create the feeling of a natural flow between the interior and exterior spaces. The most prominent feature of the interior is a cantilevered wooden spiral staircase, which wraps around a glass elevator.
