Italian builder Benetti has launched the first hull of the Mediterraneo 116 range
This first example in the Benetti Mediterraneo 116 line will be named Oli and will be delivered to an American owner.
Benetti introduced the Mediterraneo 116 last year. It’s the latest model in the Displacement Class range. The Mediterraneo 116 is 35.5 m long and also marks a new era for Benetti with exterior styling by Giorgio Maria Cassetta.
With sleek and slender lines, the new boat makes use of a lot of carbon fibre. The interior is spacious, with enough space to welcome up to 12 guests. There are four cabins: two VIP and two twins.
The superyacht can also have a swimming pool as standard on the foredeck, but the space can be customised if the owner desires.
The Benetti Mediterraneo 116 is fitted with two MAN V12 diesel engines each delivering 1.400 hp. Top speed is 15 knots, maximum range with 33.000 litres of fuel onboard is 3,000 nautical miles. Two other examples of this superyacht are already in construction.
