She is named My Song
Baltic Yachts, the sail vessel specialists from Finland, have delivered a sailing superyacht named My Song. It is the Baltic 130 Custom model, an impressive 40 meters yacht.
Baltic Yachts built this model from carbon-fibre sandwich. It features a single mast, a plumb bow and a wide stern. The owner is a frequent regatta sailor.
My Song uses Nauta Design exteriors and hull lines by Rachel-Pugh naval architects. The interior layout features five cabins.
"Our reputation for precision building in lightweight carbon with every component weighed and factored into the design has enabled displacement to be kept to the 105-tonne target providing the ideal platform for a high performance cruiser/racer", said Henry Hawkins, CEO of Baltic Yachts.
Baltic Yachts designed My Song for a cruising speed of 16.5 knots, while the maximum speed is 30 knots when the boat is set up for regatta racing.
Auxiliary power comes from a single Caterpillar 8.7 diesel engine which drives a retractable propeller. My Song also has a lifting keel that allows the draft to be reduced from seven to five meters.
