Benetti reveals more details about its first Mediterraneo 116 superyacht

This is M/Y Oli

Launched last year, superyacht Oli was the first example of the Mediterraneo 116 model line for the US market.

The Italian shipyard has unveiled a few more details about the 35m all-GRP yacht.

The exterior design has been created by Giorgio M. Cassetta and his use of proportions gave M/Y Oli the usability comparable to much bigger yachts.

"We have given Mediterraneo 116’ classical lines and proportions, but with a contemporary twist, because we wanted to create a yacht conceived to tackle future challenges, but without betraying the spirit of Benetti’s most glorious past projects", said the architect Giorgio M. Cassetta.

The owner of superyacht Oli wanted a family-centered vessel, and the interior reflects this. The main lounge has large windows that allow the natural light to flood the interior.

The dining area has a table seating up to twelve and is surrounded by a walkway so wide it can be used as a balcony to relax on.

Moving to the lower deck, the common denominator continues to be the light. The portholes, positioned at a height of 70 centimeters, for example, are in reality 1.6 meter windows, no less.

Mediterraneo 116’ M/Y Oli is propelled by two Man V12-1400 engines delivering 1,400 hp each, pushing the yacht to a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. At 10 knots, the efficient hull designed by Pierluigi Ausonio gives the yacht a range of 3,000 nautical miles.
