Canados brings three new models at 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival

428 Gladiator + 808 Maximus + 888 Evo

Canados confirms a triple world debut at the upcoming 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival: 428 Gladiator, 808 Maximus and 888 Evo on display.

428 Gladiator – Marco Casali Design

The hull has been designed and engineered giving priority to safety, stability, rough water handling and comfort. As a result, the Gladiator 428 is the only boat in its category to come with a RINA A Class certificate.

Canados wanted a bullet proof yacht, thus the entire hull, structure and deck are made of vacuum bagged quadri-axial E-Glass vinyl-ester infused resin with balsa and Airex coring to offer maximum strength and rigidity. The boat comes standard with GPS, Chart plotter, auto-pilot, depth sounder, bow thruster and maneuvering joystick.

As the vast majority of clients are running this kind of boats themselves, the standard equipment list also includes a “crystal cockpit” integrated dashboard. It is an intuitive touch screen integrating controls of all the electrical equipment including the sound system, bilge pumps, blowers, lights, engines parameters and navigation electronics.

The Gladiator 428 is available with four engine packages: twin Volvo Penta stern drives D6 of 400hp, twin Cummins QSB6.7 of 550 hp with top systems surface drives or triple of Quad outboard engines.

Depending on the power package, the Gladiator 428 is capable of speeds from 38 up to 55+ knots

808 Maximus

Designed by Marco Casali, the new model had to retain the “modern-classic” DNA of the 70+ years old shipyard while introducing new solutions to offer all the amenities and usage plan of a 30m+ yacht.

The Canados 808 Maximus offers a main deck owner’ suite, far from the engine room, while its full beam lower deck VIP suite offers more volume than the best master cabin found in similar yachts, thanks to its 6,25 m beam.

The first 808 to be launched will be powered with twin V12 MAN – 1,900 hp that will allow the Maximus to offer a cruising speed in excess of 25 knots and a 30 knots top speed.

888 Evo

The descendant of the Canados 86’ which 46 units have been delivered now has its successor, the 888 EVO. A modern-classic by essence, the 888 EVO intends to be the most elegant vessel in the category.

Retaining the 86’s purity of the lines, the Evo comes with redesigned portholes, floor to ceiling drop shaped side windows, foredeck lounge, open/close Boffi custom made galley and a transom less aft deck with reversed U shaped sofa.

The fly bridge has been enlarged compared to its predecessor and is now available with furniture from Italian maker Talenti.

With twin Caterpillar C32 Acert delivering 1,925 hp, the Canados 888 Evo top speed is in excess of 30 knots.
