Cantiere delle Marche Delivers Babbo, a Darwin Class Explorer Super Yacht

Cantiere delle Marche, for short CDM, has delivered a Darwin Class 102 explorer yacht called Babbo.

Cantiere delle Marche, for short CDM, has delivered a Darwin Class 102 explorer yacht called Babbo. The owner is from South America, and this is the second Darwin Class 102 delivered by CDM. This type of explorer yacht is constructed from steel and aluminum, has three decks and has been tailored with spacious interiors. Also, it has a 25 square meter garage for water toys and scuba dive gear. On the aft platform, the owner can house a fivemeter tender, and another 6.3-meter tender can be stored on the upper deck.

Babbo has been designed to easily navigate even the difficult sea conditions. She can resist winds of over 50 knots.

Naval architecture and exterior design is signed by HydroTec. Power comes from a pair of 1,340 hp Caterpillar engines. Maximum speed is 13 knots, cruising speed, 11.5 knots. While sailing at 9.5 knots, Babbo will have a range of 4,700 nautical miles.

"We are incredibly pleased with the results achieved this time as well: the quality of our Explorer Yachts increases launch after launch and this, together with respecting – once again – the contractual schedule, makes us very proud," said Vasco Buonpensiere, Commercial Director of the shipyard.

"We also want to emphasize that the success of the Darwin 102, with the four units already sold, confirms the intelligence and the effectiveness of the foundational design choices: a true superyacht explorer comparable to yachts widely over 300 GRT, with the ease of management of a 24 meters yacht."
