Dutch yard Damen has announced that the latest support yacht Power Play has completed sea trials.
Durin the trials, the 55.5m vessel has proved its carrying capacity with a 15-metre Damen Interceptor (50 ft) on aft deck. The 240 square-metre deck (2,583 sq ft) and 12-tonne deck crane still has lots of room over for more tenders, toys and submersibles.
Power Play has a top speed above 20 knots with Damen’s patented and proven Sea Axe hull form for sustained high speeds and seakeeping performance even in rough seas.
Following in the footsteps of her sister ships Axis (ex Fast & Furious and Shadow (ex New Frontiers), the new Power Play has been configured for a blend of adventure and superyacht support functions.
Power Play accommodates six guests staying in three suites, making her suitable for short breaks away from the mother yacht or even a complete yachting solution. She features a sundeck and a main deck lounge with panoramic views. In addition she carries a crew of seve and extra accommodation for four staff, pilots, security or guides.
