Italian yard Cantiere delle Marche has published the first photos of the new 43m flagship yacht Project K42.
The pictures show that the hull and the superstructure have been joined.
Project K42 was designed by Studio Sculli and commissioned by Floating Life. K42 is a light ice class vessel and she will be able to explore remote areas of the planet.
Built according to the explorer concept, the M/Y K-42 is a custom model that guarantees a 5,000 nautical mile range at 10 knots, ready for the seas in any corner of the world.
Overall height is 5.8 meters, with a 2.8 meter draft at full load. The interior was configured to accommodate up to ten guests in five cabins.
Power will be provided by two Caterpillar diesel engines, each delivering 1,450 hp. Top speed is 14 knots.
A garage will provide space for water toys and an 11m tender, a 6m crew tender, Jet Skis and an SUV.
