Built by Damen yard in Romania
The first hull from the Damen SeaXplorer range of explorer yachts has been launched.
Built at the Damen facility in Galati, Romania, the hull will be moved to the Netherlands for final outfitting. The delivery date is set for 2019.
The SeaXplorer 65 is the first model in the new range of Damen expedition yachts that was first revealed at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show.
The first SeaXplorer 65 was sold in August 2016. The vessel combines luxury with commercial ship capabilities. She will offer accommodation for 12 guests and a crew of 20 people.
The rugged design is by Azure Yacht Design. The vessel uses Damen's patented Sea Axe hull. The SeaXplorer 65 is designed to spend 40 days at sea between port calls. She will have two helicopters and an extensive range of tenders, water toys and submersibles.
