First photos of the 80m superyacht

Italian yard Palumbo Group has published the first pictures of the Columbus Classic 80 superyacht.

The new vessel is in-build at the Naples facility where the hull was completed. The rest of the structure will be installed at the Ancona yard.

The yacht was sold in November 2016 and with two teams working in parallel, the total built time will be reduced by eight months. Delivery is due in 2018.

The new 80m superyacht is made from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. The exterior design and naval architecture are by Hydro Tec. The interior decor is the work of Francesco Guida.

The yacht will feature a large sundeck with a seven-metre counter-current swimming pool.

12 guests can be accommodated on board in six double staterooms, including the owner's suite. Crew quarters allow for a staff of 19 people.

The five decks can be easily accessed via a glass elevator.

Power is provided by two MTU 16V diesel engines, each delivering 3,044 hp for a top speed of 16.5 knots.
