Italian yard Canados has published the first renderings of the new 969 Coliseum project.
It's a 29,5m flybridge yacht with futuristic lines announced during last year's Cannes Yachting Festival.
The 969 have been designed to offer a 4 or 5-cabin layout. In both cases, the master cabin is located on the main deck and comes with a split-level bathroom. This suite has a direct glass access to the foredeck equipped with two lounge sofas and a central table with four poufs. This specific layout allows the owner to enjoy true privacy when the yacht is berthed stern to in any marina. When at anchor, this perfect spot is shaded by a Bimini top with four carbon fiber poles.
Canados anticipates the four-cabin version to be sold for private use while the five-cabin version will surely be of great interest for owners willing to put their boat on the charter market.
969 Coliseum will offer a lot of space for water toys. Two side garages are available plus a tender lift that allows the entire swim platform to carry either an additional 4.6m tender.
Standard power on the 969 is provided by twin V12 MAN – 1,900 hp coupled to V-Drives, twin Caterpillar C32 Acert – 1,925 hp or twin MTU 12V 2000 M96L – 1,920 hp that will allow the Coliseum to offer a cruising speed in excess of 23 knots and a 26 knots top speed. As an option, the boat can be delivered with twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L – 2,600 hp for a cruising speed in excess of 25 knots and a top speed of 29 knots.
