Crossover yacht
Italian yard Sanlorenzo has launched the first SX88 crossover yacht at the Ameglia facility.
The SX88 yacht is built from a GRP hull and carbonfibre superstructure. It has interiors designed by Piero Lissoni and exterior styling by Officina Italiana Design. It integrates a series of new elements such as an open transom which allows the loading of a tender and a Jet Ski via a davit crane.
SX88 is also easy to spot due to the reversed-angled windshield. The 27m crossover yacht aims to combine the features of a compact explorer with a flybridge yacht.
The hull has been tank tested and the yard predicts a top speed of 23 knots. The engines will be provided by Volvo Penta. The SX range will be expanded with the SX72 in 2018 and the SX104 in 2019.
