Glider Yachts will showcase M at London On-Water Show

Glider Yachts has announced that its Super Sport Yacht SS18 named M will make her debut at the London On-Water Show. The London event is held at St. Katharine Docks from 4 to 7 of May 2016.

Glider Yachts has announced that its Super Sport Yacht SS18 named M will make her debut at the London On-Water Show. The London event is held at St. Katharine Docks from 4 to 7 of May 2016.

The yacht is built and designed in the United Kingdom and it is the first form a new breed of superyachts. The design and technology used has been developed for high speed sailing.

The hull and superstructure of this model have been developed using techniques from Formula One and aerospace industry. The aero design and hydrodynamics provide a smooth and comfortable ride at high speeds. Also, fuel consuption is kept at a minimum.

“The Glider development has been seven years in the making, with the first SS18 opening up unprecedented cruising opportunities making a range of destinations within easy reach – a trip from Dubai to Abu Dhabi could be done in just over 40 minutes and Monaco to Saint Tropez can be reached in under 50 minutes”, says Robert McCall, Glider Yachts managing director.

Glider Super Sport Yachts SS18 is a power catamaran 18 meters long. Total beam is 5.3 meters and has a shallow draught of only 30 centimeters. For power, the catamaran relies on four 270 hp waterjet engines.

After the London event, M will be displayed at Cannes, Monaco and Fort Lauderdale shows.
