Looking good in blue

The new FD87 Skyline from Taiwanese yard Horizon Yachts has made its official debut at the Palm Beach boat show.
With impressive looks, a blue-painted hull and impressive internal volumes, the new FD87 is a head turner.

Based on the FD85 model, Skyline could be a one-off design, since the owner wanted an enclosed upper bridge rather than the standard raised-pilothouse. The enclosed bridge doubles as a second saloon, with a bar and seating for a few guests.

The new vessel's exterior design is the work of Dutch naval architect Cor D Rover. The hull and superstructure are made from GRP.
She can accommodate ten guests in five staterooms including the main deck owner's suite. A crew of three people has separate quarters.

Power is provided by two Caterpillar C18 ACERT diesel engines, each delivering 1,136 hp. Top speed is 16 knots, while cruising speed is 10 knots.
