The classic superyacht was built in 1966
The 70m classic superyacht Sherakhan will be refitted at the Dutch Icon Yachts shipyard.
The work has begun in September and will be completed in November. One of the most important changes M/Y Sherakhan will undergo is the hull finish, which will be changed from the classic blue to a modern white.
The list of changes also includes interior cosmetic refit, upgraded electronic systems, and new cabling.
The classic yacht was launched in 1966 by Vuyk and can host 24 guests in 12 staterooms, including the owner's suite.
The crew quarters is large enough for a staff of 19 people. Power is provided by a single Caterpillar diesel engine that delivers 1,380 hp. Top speed is 13 knots, but she cruises at 12 knots. At ten knots, she can reach a maximum range of 3,500 nautical miles.
