One rugged explorer yacht, coming up!
Two of the biggest shipyards in Europe will join forces to build a new 100m explorer superyacht.
Norwegian commercial yard Kleven and Lurssen from Germany have signed a contract to deliver a vessel to a non-disclosed customer.
Kleven is the shipyard behind the 107m M/Y Ulysses, sold recently by her owner, businessman Graeme Hart. Kleven has also built his new vessel: a 116m explorer yacht, also named Ulysses.
The new 100m explorer will be built in a similar way, with Kleven building the hull in Norway, while Lurssen will be outfitting the interiors at the Blohm+Voss facility in Hamburg, Germany.
No other details about the new explorer yacht are public at this moment.
The Lurssen Group has announced two months ago that is part of a consortium of investors who have bought a 40% share in Kleven for 300 million NOK (€30 million).
