M/Y Gene Machine will make an appearance at the 2018 Miami Yacht Show
Built by Amels in 2013
The Amels-built Limited Editions superyacht Gene Machine will appear at the Miami Yacht Show from 15 to 19 February 2018.
The 55m Amels 180 (180 ft) from the Dutch luxury yacht builder’s Limited Editions range will occupy the show’s prime Island Gardens location Berth A1.
Gene Machine is one of the best known superyachts in the world, but she never attended a yacht show before.
“Hosting Gene Machine in Miami is a fantastic opportunity to share the experience of owning an Amels with our clients,” says Rose Damen, Amels Commercial Director. “Gene Machine has an adventurous owner who has really made the most of his AMELS 180 to see amazing places in the world with his family.”
55m Gene Machine has a beam of 9.4m and a draft of 3.35m. She was built from a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. Total gross tonnage is 650 tons.
Power is supplied by two MTU diesel engines each delivering 2,000 hp for a maximum speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots. She can accommodate ten guests in five double cabins.
