Motor yacht Koi destroyed in a fire

The 35m vessel caught fire in Greek waters

M/Y Koi has been destroyed in a fire while sailing in Greek waters between the islands of Kefalonia and Zakynthos reports YachtHarbour.com quoting local media.

The Greek media reports that all guests and crew are safe after the intervention of Greek Coast Guard.

Koi was 35m motor yacht built in 2001 by McMullen & Wing yard. She was refitted in 2014. It featured a steel gull and aluminum superstructure and was powered by two Caterpillar engines of 550 hp each.

The yacht had left Malta and was on route to a port in the Greek islands. It seems that the fire has started in the engine room and quickly spread to the entire vessel.
