Oyster is made in Britain
British yard Oyster Yachts has announced the sale of the second hull in the Oyster 118 series.
The delivery of the new sailing yacht is due for 2020. Hull moulding will start in the next months at Oyster's dedicated facility near Portsmouth while the fit-out will start in 2018 at the Saxon Wharf shipyard in Southampton.
The Oyster 118 is a 37.45m single-masted sailing yacht. It has accommodation for eight guests and five crew members. The owner's suite is located aft and has an adjoining lounge. Three other double cabins feature full en-suite facilities.
Auxiliary power will be provided by a 500 hp diesel engine. The Oyster 118 is the largest series of sailing yachts built in the UK.
