Royal Caribbean sent a cruise ship filled with supplies to Puerto Rico

Help is underway

Royal Caribbean used one of its ships to send help and supplies to Puerto Rico.

The line canceled one of its cruises and decided to sent Adventure of the Seas to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Croix filled with goods and supplies.

The ship has delivered batteries, water, food and medical supplies. Also, she will pick up some 3,000 evacuees, bringing those who need to leave the islands after Hurricane Maria devastated the region.

It's not the first time when Royal Caribbean uses its ships for rescue missions. The company sent other two ships, Majesty of the Seas and Empress of the Seas to the ports of St. Thomas and St. Maarten after the passage of Hurricane Irma earlier this month.

Also, Royal Caribbean has committed to match donations up to $1 million to aid Hurricane Relief efforts.
