Sailing yacht Meteor returns to Royal Huisman yard for refit

Meteor is an impressive sailing superyacht

S/Y Meteor has returned to her home yard Royal Huisman for a winter refit.

The 51.6m superyacht was built from an aluminum hull and launched in 2007. Designed by John G. Alden, the vessel has won the title of Sailing Yacht of the Year at the 2008 World Superyacht Awards.

The yacht has accommodation for six guests in three cabins including a full-beam master suite. Crew quarters has space for a staff of 12 people.

The classical luxurious interior was designed by John Munford and will not be changed in the refit. S/Y Meteor is a proven regatta racer with multiple wins in prestigious races like St. Barths Bucket, Newport Bucket or Candy Store Cup.

Meteor relies on her 1.800 square meter North sails and a singe 800 hp MTU diesel engine to reach a top speed of 11 knots.
