Tankoa reveals details of superyacht S701

72m Italian superyacht

Italian yard Tankoa has revealed more details of its in-build 72m superyacht S701.

The 72m yacht will become the yard's flagship when delivered in 2018. Work is progressing quickly at the Genoa facility. The construction of S701 began before the financial crisis and the work was stopped for a period of time. The project was sold in December 2016.

The 72m superyacht will have accommodation for 12 guests across six cabins including the owner's suite. The crew quarters allow for a staff of 18 people.

On the features list there is a winter garden on the main deck, a six-metre swimming pool, a large superyacht beach club. The tender garage will allow room for two 7.5m tenders, a rescue boat and a Jet Ski.

S701 might look reminiscent to 69m Suerte (Tankoa S693) at first sight but she is a “different animal”. She is another Paszkowski design that will set the bar high for any modern-classic and timeless design.

According to Michel Karsenti, Sales Director at Tankoa Yachts, this construction is a three-way deal for this client as S701 is programmed to be an interim yacht for this knowledgeable owner.

Since the contract has been signed, the client informed Tankoa that, his intent is to start building Tankoa’s project S801, as soon as all the technical studies are completed and the shipyard is ready to initiate construction.

Tankoa's S701 propulsion will be a pair of Caterpillar 3516B diesel engines, each delivering 2,480 hp. Top speed is 17.5 knots.
