Triton Is Your Personal Submarine for Two

How would you like to take a dive in a personal two-seat submarine?

How would you like to take a dive in a personal two-seat submarine? Now it is possible, thanks to a Florida-based manufacturer named Triton. And here you can find the Triton 6600/2, the world’s deepest-diving submersible with a transparent acrylic hull.

The model’s number is also the maximum depth that can be reached: 6,600 feet below the water surface (2,000 meters). The passenger compartment can accommodate the pilot and its companion and will remain at surface pressure regardless of the depth of the dive.

For a better view of the abyss, six lights can throw 20,000 lumens for a daylight experience. The sub travels at a speed of 3 knots, so it takes about an hour to reach the maximum depth. The Li-Ion battery pack powering the sub is good for a ten-hour diving experience. Price? $5.5 million.
