Van der Valk sells the third 28m explorer yacht

Dutch-built compact explorer

Dutch yard Van der Valk has announced the sale of a third hull in the 28m compact explorer range.

The launch is due in 2020 for a repeat client. The 28.5m compact explorer yacht is built from an aluminium hull and superstructure and was developed in collaboration with Guido de Groot Design, Diana Yacht Design and Ginton Naval Architects. The first two vessels in the series were the 25m M/Y Dutch Falcon and 37m M/Y Santa Maria T.

The compact explorer is built to withstand the toughest conditions and has transoceanic range due to the 22.000 liters fuel tank.

Power is provided by two MAN V12 diesel engines, each delivering 1,650 hp for a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 17 knots.

She can accommodate ten guests in five staterooms including the owner's suite.
