Zurn Yacht Design together with MJM Yachts will showcase the MJM 35Z model at the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (1-5 November). This outboard model debuted at the 2017 Newport Boat Show and over 20 hulls have already been sold.
MJM 35Z is the smallest member of the outboard range. It's an excellent 11m all-round cruiser. And despite the classic looks, she's fast also: over 44 knots.
When cruising at 33 knots, she will reach a range of 305 nautical miles. And, by the way, MJM stands for “Mary Johnstone’s Motorboat,” an ode to legendary J/Boats founder Bob Johnstone’s wife. Johnstone founded MJM Yachts in the early 2000s, and launched the brand with the 34z in 2002.
The MJM 35Z has side-boarding doors for easy access and exit at floating dock height. Better than any center console or cabin cruiser, the 35Z, as with all MJMs, has fully opening windshields for fresh air when desired.
The pilothouse doubles as a second cabin at night with settees converting to two full-length berths and the privacy/sunscreen curtain fully enclosing the area. The cockpit table opens up for dining.
The MJM 35Z has lots of storage for diving, fishing and water-sport equipment. Also available are stainless steel racks on the hard top for kayaks or paddle-boards. The serving bar to port can accommodate an electric grill, bait well, sink, ice-maker or fridge. Power is provided by two 300 hp Verado outboard engines.
Also at FLIBS, MJM will present the new 43Z model. MJM Yachts continues to grow in the outboard cruising model market. Zurn Yacht Design has blended the elegant lines of the hull with the sporting performance guaranteed by three Mercury Verado 350 hp engines that push the MJM 43Z to her top speed of 53 mph.
