Heesen Sells 50 m Superyacht Project Nova

Heesen Yachts has announced the sale of 50 m Project Nova.

Project Nova is a high-performance but comfortable Fast Displacement yacht with reduced environmental impact. The modern exterior lines are the work of Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. The interior is designed by Sinot Yacht Design.

Project Nova uses silent propulsion due to a hybrid drive. The hybrid propulsion means that the yacht can draw on two sources of power: diesel mechanical and diesel electrical. The electrical power can push the yacht to speed up to 9 knots in complete silence. Project Nova will burn 98 liters per hour when running at 12 knots and 57 liters per hour at 10 knots. Top speed is a respectable 16 knots.

It has an eye-catching superstructure, a vertical bow and spacious aft platform. The style is different from what Heesen used to build, but exterior lines still retain the sense os seaworthiness that is a trademark of the Dutch superyacht builder.
