American builder Hatteras is building the first unit of the Hatteras 90 model.
The announcement was made at Yachts Miami Beach show. The new yacht will be launched this summer.
Hatteras 90 Motor Yacht will be available in both open and enclosed flybridge versions. The vessel will use a Hatteras innovation: a fuel tank integral to the hull instead of a separate box. The solution provides greater fuel storage and saves weight.
The new model uses a design with deep hull tunnels that allows for a shallow draught.
Power is provided by a pair of 1,600 hp Caterpillar C32 diesel engines.
Hatteras 90 can accommodate eight guests in four cabins. The motor yacht will be present at the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
