First K Series Yacht Named Kanga is in Build at CCN

Italian shipyard CCN has announced a construction update for the 41m superyacht named Kanga. She is the first hull in the new K Series of explorer yachts.

She is a “light ice class” explorer yacht commissioned by an American owner in October 2015 with the precise goal of long cruising around the world all the way up to the Poles.

Kanga will be able to accommodate 12 guests in five cabins, including the owner's suite. Crew quarters allows for a staff of eleven people.

Power is provided by two Caterpillar C32 ACERT diesel engines each delivering 1,450 hp. Top speed is 16 knots, but when cruising at 10 knots, M/Y Kanga will have a range of 5,400 nautical miles. Fuel tanks have a capacity of 65,000 liters.
