Italian builder Cantieri di Pisa has sold the first all-aluminium hull in the Akhir 42S range
Italian yard Cantieri di Pisa has sold the first example of the semi-displacement Akhir 42S yacht.
It is an all-aluminium 42 m boat and she was acquired by a Japanese client, with delivery in the spring of 2018. The striking exterior design is signed by Luca Dini and it's a show stopper. Strong horizontal lines and a shark nose catch the eye of the beholder.
The owner's cabin is placed on the main deck forward. The interiors benefit from floor-to-ceiling windows, which allow the natural light to flood the cabins. Power is provided by two MTU diesel engines, each churning 1,950 hp. Top speed is 19 knots.
Italian builder Cantieri di Pisa was acquired by Mondomarine in 2015.
