Taiwanese yachtbuilder Johnson Yachts has launched the first Johnson 93, a 29-meter semi-displacement yacht. The exterior design is quite striking for an yacht of under 30 m, but as with every Johnson yacht the exterior design is the work of the well-known British designer Bill Dixon. The hull is made from fiberglass and also the superstructure.
The yacht has an on-deck master suite with an impressive 270-degree view from the wrap-around windows. For the guests there are three cabins below the deck, including a full-beam VIP cabin, as well as two crew cabins.
Power comes from two CAT C32 engines each delivering 1,925 hp. Top speed is 18 knots. With a fuel tank of 15,000 liter and a cruising speed of 16 knots the range is impressive.
