Ken Block’s sick boat is a MasterCraft X30 with special decals
Ken Block is spending his holidays on water with the help of a nice motorboat. Ken's personal choice is a powerful boat designed for wakeboarding. It's a MasterCraft X30 complete with special decals inspired from the livery of his racing cars. The X30 is usually powered by an Ilmor MV-8 engine with a displacement of 5.7 litres capable of delivering 320 hp. Depending on the owner wishes, there are other three engine options, top choice being an Ilmor MV-8 of 7.4 liters and 522 hp.
MasterCraft is an American boat builder founded in 1968. They've built the first ski boat in a two-stall horse barn in Maryville, Tennessee. Dissatisfied with the large wakes and pull of other ski boats, MasterCraft builders designed a hull that had the smallest wake in the industry; smooth and low at slalom and jump speeds; well defined at trick speeds.
Today, the MasterCraft facility is located in Vonore, Tennessee. It has since become the largest producer of inboard ski, wakeboard and luxury powerboats in the world.
Ken Block is one of the ambassadors for the MasterCraft brand and he took delivery of his X30 last year. Since then, he has changed the decals to match his racing cars. This year, Ken has been vacationing on Lake Powell in Utah, where he put the MasterCraft X30 through its paces.
