Mondomarine’s M50 superyacht named M/Y Ipanema is one cool boat. And it has a very distinctive hull color
Launched at their yard facility in Savona, Italy, this is the first hull in the M50 superyacht line. Designed by Milan-based studio Hot Lab, the first M50 is an all-aluminium yacht with a three-deck layout. This first example of the M50 superyacht has been named Ipanema and is very easy to spot due to its sporty hull colour personally selected by the owner.
Mondomarine is a well established italian brand part of the Cantieri Navali Campanella. The M50 model has a length of 49,2m and a beam of 9m. Power is sourced from two MTU 16v 2000 M94 engines delivering over 2,600 hp each. Maximum speed is 20 knots, cruising speed, 19 knots. The range when cruising at 12 knots is 3,500 nautical miles.
After the launch, the yard said in a statement: “The innovative look of this project follows Mondomarine’s traditional styling and heritage adding innovative design solutions that gives to the yacht’s profile a flowing and appealing line, enriched by the magnificent color combinations attributed to the owner’s exquisite taste.”
