A 50m explorer yacht concept
Designer Dennis Ingemasson has taken the wraps off his latest concept yacht named Arctic Sun. The concept was created in collaboration with British yard Pendennis.
Arctic Sun is 50m explorer yacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. The exterior design is inspired by the automotive industry.
Arctic Sun can accommodate ten guests across five cabins. The vessel has also crew quarters for a staff of seven.
The explorer yacht is suited for tropical destinations as well as arctic climates. On board, the guests can find a spa with massage room and sauna plus a gym. The garage can hold two tenders and six Jet Skis.
Arctic Sun is powered by two MTU 16V diesel engines. Top speed will be 19 knots, while a cruising speed of 12 knots will provide a maximum range of 5,750 nautical miles.
