Pocket explorer yacht in build at Evadne Yachts

She is named M/Y Rock

Styled by Dutch design and architecture studio Vripack, the pocket explorer yacht Rock is in build at Turkish yard Evadne Yachts.

The 24m explorer has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the vessel is described as an SUV yacht. She's small and rugged.

The owner of the yacht explains: "My utmost concern was how to make a sturdy and rugged yacht with sex appeal. Many of the explorer concepts did not meet the aesthetic and technical criteria I was looking for. Vripack introduced us to the concept of an SUV yacht and it was love at first sight.”

She can accommodate eight guests in four cabins, including the owner's suite.

Power is provided by two 1,000 hp Caterpillar C12 diesel engines. Top speed is 17 knots but throttled back to nine knots she can reach a range of 3,500 nautical miles.
