Sanlorenzo SX88 crossover yacht unveiled

It combines the best of both worlds

The Italian yard has revealed the first details of the Sanlorenzo SX88 crossover yacht.

The new 27m yacht is described by the Italian yard as a revolution because it aims to combine the best features from a compact explorer yacht and a flybridge vessel.

Sanlorenzo SX88 will make its debut at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival. The new crossover yacht will use a GRP hull and carbonfibre superstructure. This will be the first model in the SX range, which will be expanded in 2018 with the SX72 and the SX 104 in 2019.

Exterior styling is by Officina Italiana Design and she will be easily spotted due to the reverse-angled windshield. The main deck has been designed without a superyacht pilothouse, allowing the guests to move freely from the cockpit to the bow. The Sanlorenzo SX88 will be offered with a choice of three layouts. The yard predicts a top speed of 23 knots. The first six hulls have already been sold.

Power will be provided by Volvo Penta, details will be disclosed in the near future.
