The flagship of the Pershing range of superyachts, the Pershing 140 is taking shape at the Italian shipyard.

The first pictures of the hull have been published by the Ferretti Group. Pershing 140 is a 42.7m fast planning superyacht revealed at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show. The launch is planned for 2018.

The new flagship vessel is the result of the collaboration between Pershing and naval architect Fulvio de Simoni. It will be the first Pershing yacht completely built in aluminium alloy.

The owner of the first Pershing 140 is a European seduced by the sporty and powerful lines.

The main deck will host a spacious living area, the owner's suite and the captain's cabin. The lower deck features another four double cabins. Pershing 140 will also have a concealed private area up forward. When the yacht is anchored, the area is opened and becomes available for the guests.

Three engine configurations are available for the Pershing 140. The first two are a pair of MTU 4000 M93L diesel engines either 12V or 16V mated with hydro-jet propulsion for a top speed of 24 or 33 knots.

The most powerful configuration is four 2,600 hp MTU 12V M94 engines for a top speed of 38 knots.
