Minimalist design on Scandinavian powerboat
Norwegian powerboat builder Fjord unveiled its latest creation: the 42 model.
The Fjord 42 open powerboat was presented to the public at this year Monaco Yacht Show. With a vertical bow and sleek lines, the new boat has design signed by Patrick Banfield.
This latest vessel from Fjord has a flat deck layout, with two large sunbeds. A T-top provides shelter from the sun. There is also an outdoor kitchen area and seating options. Below deck there are two double cabins and some storage space.
For water fun, a large bathing platform can be lowered hydraulically. Power for this sleek boat is provided by two Volvo Penta diesel engines with 370 hp each. For performance lovers, there is a more powerful version, powered by 435 hp engines, enough for a top speed of 40 knots.
