Turkish yard Mengi Yay offers first look at Project Virtus

44m superyacht

Turkish yard Mengi Yay has begun construction of the new motor yacht named Project Virtus.

The 44m vessel is developed in collaboration with Ginton Naval Architects. Interior design is by BTA Design, while Venetian Yacht Design created the exterior styling.

The launch date is set for 2019. She will become the second largest yacht built by Mengi Yay, behind the 45m Aquarius.

Project Vitrus was formerly known as Hull NB96 and will feature accommodation for ten guests in five cabins, including the master suite.

Power will be provided by two Caterpillar C32 diesel engines, each providing 1,450 hp for a top speed of 15 knots. Fuel capacity is 51,000 liters.
