Zeelander Z55 Sport Cruiser will make European debut at Cannes

Timeless design

Dutch shipyard Zeelander Yachts has announced that its brand new sport cruiser Z55 will make official European debut at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival 2017 (September 12-17).

The Z55 is a luxurious 17m yacht – the largest model to date for the shipyard. She is 100% made in Holland at Zeelander Yachts’ new facility based in Groot – Ammers. The model combines timeless design and innovative solutions from a team of professionals coming from the superyacht industry.

The naval architect of the project is Mulder Design. The Z55 is an elegant classic “lobster” style yacht that was given a modern twist. She has a deep-V hull made from GRP core infusion glass fibre.

There is a large number of pre-designed solutions in either a light modern style or a darker traditional style with mahogany wood or bleached oak and other finest materials and finishes available, including veneers, leathers, textiles, etc. Also, owners may bring their own designers that suit their tastes.

The main deck with saloon, galley, and cockpit is a one-floor social area. On the aft deck, there is an outside bar, cockpit and a stern swim platform with two mini-balconies on either side for easy boarding. Three guest cabins, including a roomy master suite amidships, are placed below deck.

The new Z55 is fitted with a twin Volvo Penta IPS 1050. They give the cruiser a range of 400 nautical miles. With the optional Volvo Penta IPS 1200 she runs up to 40 knots.
