A modern 61-foot sportfisherman
American yard Bertram has launched its new 61 sportfisherman boat.
The new fishing boat opens a new chapter for the American classic brand. Designed by Michael Peters, Bertram 61 has strong, powerful exterior with traditional Bertram look.
The new model marks the comeback of the Bertram brand after the company was acquired by Italy's Gavio Group in 2015. Gavio is the force that revived the Baglietto and CCN yacht brands in Italy.
The new Bertram 61 is a fresh start and becomes a competitor for rival brands like Viking and Hatteras.
The 61 feet (18.6m) fishing vessel features a Seakeeper gyro stabilizer, a teak cockpit designed for serious fishermen and an interior with an open-plan saloon and galley. There is no lower helm station. Belowdecks there are four staterooms.
Power is provided by two 1,900 CAT 32 diesel engines. The official debut for the new Bertram 61 will be at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October.
